Professor Spinelli is the Director of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery and Co-Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center of Humanitas Hospital. He is Full Professor of Surgery at Humanitas University.
He has been involved in more than 330 invited lectures at international congresses and is often called as an expert consultant by the most renowned academic institutions.
Professor Spinelli devoted most of his career to scientific research, with over 340 Pubmed indexed publications (H-index of 50 on Scopus). He founded a Surgical Trial Unit that is currently managing more than 50 clinical trials.
